The software

KinoQ is dual-licensed. You may use it under the GNU General Public License, version 3.0 (GPL-3.0) for open-source use, or under a separate commercial license for use in closed-source products. For commercial terms, contact john@rkroll.com. Your rights to the software itself are governed by whichever of those licenses applies to you; these terms cover your use of the hosted app and this website.

Your work is yours

Anything you create with KinoQ — your projects, frames, and exports — belongs to you. It is stored on your own device and is never transmitted to us. We claim no rights over it and have no access to it.

Provided "as is"

The hosted app and website are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Your responsibility to back up

Because your work is stored only in your browser, you are responsible for keeping it safe. Export the cuts you want to keep. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data or work — including loss caused by clearing site data, browser behavior, device failure, or bugs in the app.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of KinoQ.
